At our next meeting, we will elect our club’s next President, as my term ends by 30 June 2011.
The are several benefits to being a Toastmaster Club President. It gives you the opportunity to practice your public speaking skills and lead people in a volunteering group outside of your work environment. It provides you a platform to volunteer your time towards the cause of helping other people improve their lives through better speaking and leadership skills. It also gives you the chance to network beyond your own circle of friends and colleagues in a Toastmaster community in Hong Kong that numbers in the thousands.
Do send in your nominations to me at ongaiai@hotmail.com by next Saturday, 28th of May.
As per the normal practice in our club’s President election process, if there is more than one candidate for the President’s post, an election speech of no more than 3 minutes duration will be required. The master of the election process will send you the instructions prior to the meeting to advise you the format and theme for your election speech.
Best regards,
Ai Ai
