We had a very jolly meeting last night. It was full of fun and laughter.
It was nice to have resumed the joke master session. We all enjoyed the joke from Paul regarding a bilingual dog.
Our TME, Nadia made a few humorous impromptu connections between speeches. Nadia, you are strongly encouraged to sign up for the humorous speech / table topic contests next year!
In addition to thanking Nadia for a job well done, we have to thank Kenneth for letting us know about the benefits of wearing bamboo fabrics, and Stanton for advising us about the advantages of doing exercises. We also have to bear in mind that we should use logic instead of emotions when making decisions. Thanks for the tips from Pang Fan!
Cecilia presented her maiden session on table topics. She prepared well in advance and it was conducted smoothly though a few questions seemed to be quite difficult for some speakers.
On the evaluation side, Arthur gave a wonderful evaluation on the table topic speakers as well as the master though I personally think that he could have praised more!!!
As a general evaluator, Andrew delivered a comprehensive and constructive evaluation in a lively way. It really made us all chuckle.
During the evaluation session, we learnt a fantastic expression from Jo. Although I can't remember her exact wording, it was something like - we should strive for 120 marks, even if we have a deduction of 20, we can still get 100 marks. That's cool!
