We had an "Advanced Speeches" night with speeches of high quality!
In the advanced speech session, Arthur revealed his secrets of being a great speaker - rehearse and repeat. He even repeated what he did in his first area contest by throwing off a cockroach to the audience!!! I was particularly attracted by Andrew's superb delivery skills. His opening story was delivered in a vividly and lively way. I also enjoyed Edwin's speech of persuading audience to revamp the swimming pool in the Fairview Garden.
With a group of great prepared speech speakers, we also had a team of seasoned toastmasters as individual evaluators. They all led a good example by evaluating speeches in accordance with speech objectives.
We have to admit that we had a team of facilitators who were full of imagination. Our timekeeper, Ben Fung used an analogy between traffic lights "GREEN, YELLOW AND RED" and our time signals for delivering his timekeeping report. Kenneth made use of the length of lightings to signify the number of unnecessary sounds that speakers had. This was also coincided with meeting theme "climate change". Though Philippe's mother tongue is not English, he delivered his grammarian report at ease.
In addition, we had Asta as the TME who introduced each speaker in a caring manner and Stella as the GE who contributed alot of great ideas to us.

Due to unavailability of function rooms in the Japanese Club, our next meeting is now scheduled for 15 June (Tue), same time and same venue.
