The founder of the club was Adam Aiken, a Scotsman who came to Hong Kong working as a manager of AIA (American International Assurance HK LTD). On the occasion of the Club’s 50th anniversary in 2004, Adam Aitken, the Club’s founder, very kindly donated an equivalent of HK$20,000 to the Club to help promote the spirit of Toastmasters. The Adam Aitken’s Award was set up in honour of Mr. Aitken.
Andrew Yeung received this reward for his achievements at club, area and division level. Andrew represented HKTMC in both the Humorous and Evaluation contests which took place in Chai Wan recently and his success in the Humorous contest will take him to Chengdu for the District 89 Fall Conference between the 2nd-4th of November. We couldn't be more proud and wish him all the best.
