We had a few first times during the evening.
It was Gilbert's first time to be the TME. Bravo to him for giving us a well executed and an enjoyable evening.
We had 3 new members give us their first speech in their Ice Breaker project. They told something of themselves to help us to get to know them better. They were Kenny Ko, Emma Zhang and Jonathan Mok. We learned, among other things, that Kenny works in the financial industry, Emma hails from Beijing, and that Jonathan is an individualist.
As the table topic master, Cecilia threw out a number of challenging questions pertaining to the Quest for Anti-Aging. She got hearts in the audience jumping like "popcorn in a popcorn machine" (quote from Joanne Chuk) and gave the gerascophobics (borrowed from our Grammarian Paul Breen) in the crowd a few more white hairs during the session. Nevertheless, we ended up with 3 winners in the Table Topics Session, I think perhaps a first in our club's long history.
We used the traffic light for the first time as our time flag in place of the usual colour coded cards. It is a monstrous traffic light but very effective as a time control.
Our meeting of course would not have been complete without the evaluator's feedback. Rita, KY, Eng Wah, Joanne and Kathy (from Oasis) gave us feedback which I am sure will help us to improve our speech-making and conduct more efficient meetings in the future.

Best Table Topic Speakers - Jo Manning, Rita Tsui, and Arthur Ting
Best Evaluator - KY Tan
